Bram Collins

Bram Collins was born in Cairns and was raised on a cattle station in the remote Gulf Savannah region in North Qld. On completing grade 12, Bram became a stockman and worked throughout north & central Qld which also included 2 months working as a cowboy on a Ranch in Texas USA. On returning to Australia, Bram studied for and received a private pilot’s license, and he soon became a mustering pilot. Soon after, Bram enrolled at the Marcus Oldham Farm Management College in Geelong Victoria and over the next 4 years, studied and worked all over Australia graduating in 1990 with a diploma in Farm Business Management.

He first started working in the tourism industry in 1991 after his family developed the Undara Experience, becoming a Savannah Guide and conducting tours of the Undara Lava Tubes. With over 30 years’ experience, Bram has a comprehensive understanding of the many facets of the tourism industry from Operational Management, Event Organization through to Marketing Sales, and Promotions.

Bram has always believed in giving back to his community through time served on many boards and advisory committees. He served for ten years on the board of Savannah Guides, including 3 years as the secretary and 3 years as President. During this time, the organization experienced unparallel growth culminating by winning a Queensland Tourism award for Private Sector Industry Training and being named global winner of a British Airways award for Tourism Organisations. Bram has sat as a committee member on a number of boards including the Oak Park Race Club, the Outback Director on the board of Tourism Tropical North Queensland and as Outback Director and Deputy Chairman of Tropical Tablelands Tourism, positions he held for a decade each. He has always promoted the benefits of regional tourism through his many roles in either Undara Experience, Savannah Guides or Savannah Way.

Bram lives in Yungaburra, and his time is split between his roles as the Chairperson of the Savannah Way and as a director in the very successful Motivational Speaking business, Success with Attitude. In this, his favorite role, Bram invests time in mentoring and coaching school children and businesspeople in the endless potential that can be unlocked through building a positive attitude and self-development.
